THE OBSERVANT - By AStudentofLife
THE ALBUM
Ever wonder what the influence KRS-one, Dead Prez, Bob Marley, Washington D.C. GO-GO, late 90s-early 2000s Down South, Esoteric Philosophy and Movie Culture, and a study of Black generational history could offer in one package of art we call music? Well, The Observant is just that. Take it how you want it. It's all up to interpretation, but you can't knock the message. With such a strong focus on modern vices against humanity and black empowerment, there is something everyone can enjoy and learn from this project. To observe the world as we know it and serve a juncture which displays the illusion from that which is real. This is " Observant".
OUR CHALLENGE
We were challenged to create an album artwork showcasing all the above pointers in 1 story. 1 art. 1 mind.
WORK. WORK.
The artwork was designed to incorporate the overall thought and idea of the artist in single artwork — the emotions, the illusion, the reality and the observer. We were able to come up with the cover that could justify the album only after listening to it our self and feel every bit of emotion in it.
